Any products, films, and media works which may affect the outcome of the
festival and its events.
All films can be submitted in either DVD, Mini DV, VHS, BETACAM, DVCAM,
Formats for viewing purposes only. We prefer DVD or all DV formats as it
is easier for us to view as screeners
Movies of Pornographic Nature are prohibited from the festival. (Nudity is
Accepted!) Language and freedom of speech is practiced as part of this
festival so feel free to say what's on your mind. That is why we're here.
Exhibition formats are accepted in DVD (non regional coding), Mini DV,
DVCAM, BETACAM, DIGI BETA, HD, HDV TAPE (720p or 1080i) NTSC or PAL
formats are accepted; Super 8mm, 16mm, and 35mm film formats. All
Soundtrack work is accepted in Dolby Digital, DTS, Stereo, Mono,
Surround 2.1, 5.1, 7.1,.
Selections for categories/programs will be based on terms created for
each individual category. Moving Image reserves the right to reject
/decline any film(s)which we feel may be unsuitable
All submitted projects must be produced and completed no earlier than
Jan 1st 2007. Materials may be submitted with a Production
Package/Media Kit. A minimum of 3 production stills, or artwork is
suggested for submission with the film. Media Kits may include the
following: tag line, synopsis, film description, film treatment, art and stills,
press clippings(optional), cast list, crew list, and any affiliations with
other production/distribution companies.
When submitting by mail please forward all tape or reel materials to the
following address or the submission will be revoked without refund of
submission fees.

All company cheques, personal cheques and money orders are to be
made payable to "Moving Image Screenwriter's Competition". Cheques
which are "not sufficient in funds" (NSF) will be revoked entry until
owed amount is paid in full.
Please note that "Moving Image Screenwriter's Competition" does not
return preview and/or exhibition copies of materials sent to either
preview and showcase at the festival unless a $25 US fee is paid for
through Withoutabox. Return Submissions must be no more than 1"inch
H x 1" inch W x 1"inch L and can not weight more than 1lbs.
All work submitted will not be returned unless the $25 return service
charge is paid for!
